The design on the Niche Aether snowboard was created by Ana Van Pelt, and features illustration work by Zosia Olenska. The illustration is of the Norse god Odin's two ravens, Huginn and Muninn. Odin bestowed the gift of speech to his ravens, and each day they would fly all over their world, Midgard, and bring information back to Odin, telling him everything they would see and hear.
With a matte-finish topsheet and purposefully placed gold foil stamping throughout, this is a truly unique and timeless snowboard graphic that stands out amongst a sea of other snowboard designs.
The original illustration was drawn at A1 size using a quill and Indian Ink. It was then scanned into the computer and the design created and laid out in Photoshop, with all typography and special effect printing details composed in Illustrator. The snowboard itself is made using eco-friendly construction materials, and graphics printed using the most environmentally friendly method in the industry using water-based inks.
We decided to add a third eye to one of the ravens after the original illustration was finished. Yep... it's a Game of Thrones reference.
